Through the dynamics of individual assessment and personal discovery, the participant begins to discover meaning and purpose, and to reclaim a sense of mission. This allows them to rise above their attitude of "entitlement" and shed the "victim" image, to become a productive, contributing member of what becomes a more just and civil society, as they work to make changes first inside themselves and then in their own homes and neighborhoods.
